Terms of use

The short version
HornCore publishes reviews and opinion. It sells nothing, takes no payment from you, and holds no stock. Anything you buy, you buy from a retailer under their terms, not ours. Read us as one informed opinion — not as a professional telling you what is safe for your skin, your hair or your money.
Who these terms are with
This site is operated by HornCore. “We” and “us” below mean that party; “you” means anyone using the site. Written notice under these terms reaches us at info@horncore.net; ask there if you need a postal address.
Using the site means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, the remedy is simple and costs nothing: stop using it. Reading requires no account and no sign-up, so there is nothing to cancel.
What this site is not
Nothing here is medical, dermatological, or professional advice. We write about cosmetics, hair, skin and the things people put on them. That is not the same as knowing your skin, your allergies, your prescriptions or your medical history — and no article can, however carefully it is written.
- The manufacturer's own label, warnings and directions always win over anything we write. If the two disagree, follow the label.
- Patch test. Introduce actives one at a time. Some ingredients interact badly with each other, with sun exposure, with pregnancy, and with prescribed treatments.
- If something is genuinely wrong with your skin or hair, see a doctor, dermatologist or pharmacist. We are not a substitute for one and will never pretend to be.
We do not claim any product treats, prevents or cures a condition, and if you ever find a sentence here that reads that way, tell us — it is a mistake, not a position.
How we are paid
By affiliate commission on some links, disclosed on every page that carries them and explained in full in the affiliate disclosure. We do not sell placement, we do not sell favourable verdicts, and a company sending us a product buys a disclosure, not a recommendation.
Every product assessment says what it rests on — owned and used, hands-on, or researched — because those are three different things and running them together is the ordinary dishonesty of this whole industry.
Accuracy, and the fact that things change
Reviews are written on a date and carry it. Formulations get reformulated, packaging changes, products are discontinued, and a verdict written against last year's version may not hold against this year's. Prices and availability belong to the retailer, change constantly, and are not tracked by us — the retailer's page is the authority on both.
We take reasonable care, and we do not warrant that everything here is accurate, complete or current. If something is wrong, tell us: we correct it and note the change rather than editing quietly.
Your purchase is with the retailer
We are not a party to it. When you follow a link and buy something, the contract is between you and that retailer, under their terms. Payment, delivery, faults, returns, refunds, guarantees and your consumer rights against the seller are all theirs to honour — and we have no ability to intervene in an order, look one up, or chase one for you. Take it up with them.
Links to other sites are not an endorsement of those sites, their terms or their privacy practices, and we do not control what they do.
Our content, and what you may do with it
The writing, photography, layout and audio versions on this site are ours or used with permission, and are protected by copyright. Brand names, product names and logos belong to their owners and appear here to identify the things we are reviewing — no affiliation with or endorsement by those owners is claimed.
You may read the site, print or save a page for your own use, and quote a short extract with attribution and a link back. That is normal and welcome.
You may not republish articles in whole or in substantial part, mirror the site, or pass our work off as someone else's. Systematic scraping — including harvesting the site to build or train a dataset or a model — is not permitted without our written agreement, and we reserve our rights over text and data mining accordingly.
Anything you send us
Email us, submit a product, or subscribe, and you are sending it voluntarily. Please do not send anything confidential or sensitive — we cannot treat it as confidential, and a review site has no reason to hold it.
- You keep ownership of what you send. You give us permission to use it in running the site — for example, quoting a correction you sent us. We do not publish your email address.
- Sending a product does not buy a review, a favourable one, or any review at all, and we do not return samples. See the contact page for how we handle that.
- Do not send anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to send. We may decline, delete or ignore submissions without explanation.
The email list
Joining is optional, leaving takes one click, and we may change what we send, how often, or stop sending altogether. What we store and for how long is in the privacy policy.
Availability
The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, move or remove any part of it — including whole articles — without notice. Do not build anything that depends on a page here staying where it is.
Do not attempt to interfere with the site: no breaking into it, overloading it, or using it to distribute anything harmful.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of this site, from reliance on anything published here, or from your dealings with any retailer or manufacturer you reached through it — including lost money, wasted spend, or a product that did not suit you.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep every right the law gives you — nothing here reduces them, and no sentence above should be read as trying to.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and continuing to use the site afterwards means accepting the version then published.
